IFLA President's Meeting - April 7-8 / TORONTO

Participate in the interactive IFLA President’s Meeting planned for April 7-8 at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto including tours and receptions with library leaders from around the world both the day before and after the meeting.  Registration fee is $200. Canadian.

With the theme, Call to Action: Building the Change Agenda for the Information Profession, we want to ensure the meeting provides some concrete opportunities/actions for moving forward.  Discussions will focus on how libraries and the profession are responding to current societal trends outlined in the IFLA Trend Report, http://trends.ifla.org/.  Your observations on the issues in your area that need response and any possible actions or opportunities you might recommend will contribute greatly to the discussions.  We think of this meeting as more of a summit or working meeting than a conference.  We expect hard questions to be put on the table for discussion.  So please join us.  Register now.  http://www.librarystrategiesintl.com/registration.html

And if you need a hotel, book it soon as our room block at $179./night disappears in early March.

We have arranged different topic panels,

Where speakers talk for 10 minutes, followed by some Q&A and then facilitated table discussions.
