CULC/CBUC signed on to the Fair’s Fair – Fair Dealing in Canada

CULC/CBUC signed on to the Fair’s Fair – Fair Dealing in Canada after consulting with Paul Whitney, and others. The letter to the Ministers Moore (Heritage) and Clement (Industry) was from a range of groups under the auspices of the Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic. CIPPIC Staff Lawyer Tamir Israel acknowledged CULC/CBUC support and indicated to acknowledge to our members that we are recognized as a supporter. However, they decided to keep it as an open letter and add names of organizations as they come in. The short turn around they provided to organization for submissions led to this decision.
