Canadian Public Library Trends 2000-2009: Analysis

The Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC) / Conseil des Bibliothèques Urbaines du Canada (CBUC) commissioned Lumos Research to analyze accumulated Key Performance Indicator Data. The report was received by the group at their recent meetings in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The report assists libraries and library stakeholders in understanding their operating environment. CULC/CBUC Executive Director explained, “this first foray into a broader trend analysis provides a base for moving forward and looking at other areas where we can deploy resources to better tell the very compelling story of our member libraries.” 35 member libraries and nine contributing subscribers make up the data set.
